Our Old Favourite – Shipwreck Bay.
Shipwreck Bay or Navagio, as the locals call it is a magical place close to Be Beach’s heart. We basically grew up here in the family summer house spending most mornings of our long hot summers tootling round to the bay in the boat brimming with children, all armed with goggles and armbands. Yes, over 20 years ago was my first visit, and never once has it failed to take my breath away. Now when we are there, we go for early breakfast bbq’s and sundowers to round off the day. Never do we get bored in such a beautiful place surrounded with friends and family. For us, if there was one place that really felt like home then Navagio would be it.
Located on the north of the stunning island of Zakynthos, Greece, sitting like a jewel in the Ionian sea it is hard to miss. We highly recommend that everyone make a visit there at least once in a lifetime. There is no sea quite like it and if you go there early enough, chances are you will get it to yourself. Romantic or liberating a skinny dip is a must!
